we love ceramics.  we love them even more when the artist behind the work is sweet and lovely.  cathy terepocki is just that.  a mother of 3 and graduate of the alberta college of art + design, she's been working full time on her craft ever since she graduated in 2004.

we have to say that the crazy kids over at native shoes have outdone themselves this year. the colours, the styles...just as our shipments before, don't sit on this. this is our first drop with two more shipments to come, but still.  we can't tell you how many desperate phone calls we had last year from people searching, hunting, for anything.  don't let that be you this year.

"Inspired by Victorian mourning lockets, each hand-crafted sterling silver locket holds a miniature diorama, such as dried lady bugs. Each locket also contains a tiny tea stained simple phrase. The locket is composed of two parts, the locket itself and the interior diorama casing that is closed off with a crystal plane of glass." available in store: "I THINK OF YOU", "MY LOVE", "FORGET ME NOT", "IN DREAMS WE PLAY"

"These were created as part of our 'memory' series which plays with ways to hold onto memory and keep loved ones close.The form used for these hammered silver bands was inspired from bird bands used in the act of migratory bird banding/mapping. Each band is inscribed with text."

"The inscription hammered into this piece is the last sentence from Franny's section of Franny and Zooey, and reads:"HER LIPS BEGAN TO MOVE, FORMING SOUNDLESS WORDS, AND THEY CONTINUE TO MOVE". Inside this band, rests a smaller band inscribed with the word "MERCY" repeated around the entire band."
