a little taste of MoMa.

this is where i used to do the most damage, at the MoMa gift shop.  while we can't bring everything they have in, we have recently acquired a few things that we thought were lovely.

this beautiful set of 3pieces (picture showing 2 sets) are made of natural beechwood and can be stacked... or not.

and i couldn't resist the classic eames 'house of cards'. the small house of cards is the original, made in 1952. the images are of what Eameses called "good stuff", chosen to celebrate "familiar and nostalgic objects from the animal, vegetable, and mineral kingdoms." the six slots on each card enable the player to interlock the cards so as to build structures of myriad shapes and sizes.
great for big and small people stocking stuffers.
each of these playful cufflinks appears to have been marked with a thumbprint. made of tin plated with white gold. set of two.
